Alversund Kammerkor is a mixed chamber choir of about 30 voices, founded by Odd Leif Mjøs in 1990. As well as major works by Bach, Handel, Duruflé and others, often with musicians from the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, it specialises in recent and contemporary Norwegian composers including Edvard Grieg, Egil Hovland, Knut Nystedt, Trond Kverno and Ola Gjeilo.
Louise Kemény and Johnny Langridge are two of the most highly praised young soloists, with outstanding performances in choral, operatic and solo song. In December 2016 they joined Alversund Kammerkor in Norway for Handel’s Messiah.
